In a significant development aimed at improving dental healthcare, Minister for Health, Vidadala Rajini, officially launched a state-of-the-art mobile medical unit belonging to the government dental college. The inauguration ceremony took place at the APIIC building in Mangalagiri on Friday.

The mobile dental unit, equipped with cutting-edge technology and essential devices, will offer a wide range of dental services, including surgeries, fillings, tooth extractions, and primary dental care. Dr. Srinivasa Rao, Principal of the government dental college, highlighted the unit’s capabilities during his speech at the event. He also revealed plans to extend the unit’s reach to nearby primary health centers, old age homes, and schools, ensuring accessible dental care to those in need.

This initiative is part of the National Arogya Mission and National Oral Health Mission, both of which strive to enhance overall healthcare and oral hygiene across the nation. The ceremony witnessed the presence of Health Special Chief Secretary M.T. Krishna Babu and Health Commissioner J. Nivas, underscoring the government’s commitment to prioritizing dental health services.

With the introduction of the mobile dental unit, the government dental college aims to bridge the gap in dental healthcare accessibility, particularly in remote areas.
